LIVING AT AJ'S
AJ's Living supports active participation in 12-step recovery programs. Daily rides to meetings are available to much of Humboldt County, including Trinidad, McKinleyville, Arcata, and Eureka. AA/NA based activities such as potlucks, conferences, beach bonfires, and camp-outs are well attended by AJ's residents.
Some residents have daily jobs, often using public transportation to reach job sites. The result is a quiet, serene, meditative environment. Household chores are assigned to promote a sense of community. Daytime TV viewing is discouraged.
We have 3 weekly, 12 step recovery meetings for coffee, cookies and a great discussion of recovery literature.
